HCM City (VNA) – The sixth Vietnam-France career day is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on May 11 and Ho Chi Minh City one week later, heard a press conference on the event in HCM City on May 9.
The event will be organised by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) and the French Embassy in Vietnam.
French Consul General in HCM City Vincent Floreani said the annual event, first held in 2014, aims to create favourable conditions for French and Vietnamese businesses to meet and recruit young skilled Vietnamese workers who are capable of working in international environment.
It also helps candidates and former students of educational programmes under cooperation between the two governments, understand market trends and seek job opportunities.
More than 40 Vietnamese and French firms will participate in the event. They mostly operate in the fields of education, trade, services, accounting, auditing, information technology, engineering, construction, logistics, tourism and hotel.
The programme in Hanoi and HCM City is expected to attract about 700 job seekers this year.
CCIFV President Thibault Giroux said participants could explore new occupations and join workshops at the event to enhance communication capacity and gain experiences.-VNA
