Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) officially handed over a broadcasting station, which can transmit signals to all over Laos northern region to the Lao Ministry of Information and Culture on March 8.
The ceremony, held in the former Lao capital of Luang Prabang, was attended by VOV’s General Director Vu Van Hien, and Lao Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Bosengkham Vongdala among others.
The broadcasting station was built on an area of 11,628 sq.m, at a cost of more than 57 billion VND from the Vietnamese government’s non-refundable aid for the 2006-2010 period.
It was implemented in accordance with the agreement on economic, cultural and technological cooperation signed between Vietnam and Laos in 2009./.
