Hanoi (VNA) – The Inspector Training College under the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam (GIV) opened a training course for officials from Cambodia’s Ministry of National Assembly Senate Relations & Inspection, in Hanoi on December 29.

The GIV and the college will create the best conditions for the trainees to complete their course and apply what they learn to the real situation in Cambodia, said head of the GIV’s personnel organisation department Hoang Thai Duong.

He highlighted the sound traditional relations between the GIV and the Cambodian inspection sector, adding that such training courses will contribute to enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

The 28-student class aims to provide theoretical knowledge in inspection activities such as handling complaints and petitions and preventing corruption.

During the course, the trainees will have an opportunity to make fact-finding tours to some GIV departments and units as well as several cities and provinces to improve their capacity.

After the one-month course, eight Cambodian officials will continue pursuing advanced programmes within two months.-VNA
