Vietnam helps Laos train political officials

The Ho Chi Minh Academy of Politics and Public Administration on December 23 held the closing ceremony for the training courses organised for popularisation officials and lecturers from politics and public administration schools of Laos .

Through thecourses, Lao trainees were provided with new knowledge on theoreticalresearch and popularisation work in Vietnam as well as studying andteaching skills at politics schools.

Participants became familiarised with Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts.

They also studied the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnamand the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the two countries’ nationaldefence, renewal and construction.

Along withstudying at the academy, Lao participants made fact-finding tours toseveral localities in Vietnam to understand more about the countryand its people.

The courses contributed tofurther strengthening the friendship and special cooperation between thetwo Parties, States and their people.-VNA

National, local traffic safety committees to be dissolved from June 1

Under the dicision, ministries and ministerial-level agencies will assume responsibility for tasks previously performed by the committee, in line with their mandates under the Law on Government Organisation, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Law on Roads and other relevant legal frameworks, ensuring that traffic safety and order are maintained without disrupiton.
