A representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in France has presented the Ambassador’s Certificate of Merit to an Overseas Vietnamese association in France for its support to Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims in 2011.
The presentation took place at a gathering for Overseas Vietnamese in France who had once lived in Laos to mark the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).
On addressing the annual event, the Vietnamese Embassy’s envoy Bui Tien Hue said that the Vietnamese Party and State always regard the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part of Vietnam.
He also highlighted the efforts and contributions made by the Association of Overseas Vietnamese who had once lived in Laos to their homeland such as the provision of scholarships for poor students at home./.
