Vietnam was informed of the PCA’s schedule and as a country with a direct connection to the East Sea disputes and as a member state of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982 UNCLOS), Vietnam has been monitoring the case closely, he said.

The diplomat reiterated the country’s consistent position of supporting the settlement of disputes in the East Sea by peaceful measures, on the basis of international law, and its support for the adherence to and full execution of all regulations and procedures of the 1982 UNCLOS.-VNA
