Vietnam introduces measures to curb illegal gas

The Vietnam Gas Association (VGA) will work with the Department of Economic Police under the Ministry of Public Security to prevent and combat the illegal production and trading of gas.

In an agreement signed on May 10, both parties agreed to cooperate toprevent any laws in the production and trading of liquefied petroleumgas from being broken along with stepping up the exchange ofinformation.

They will support each other to improve people’s professionalknowledge, prevent fires and accidents and make gas businesses andconsumers aware of their responsibilities, which will ensure the marketdevelops and makes bigger profits.

On addressing the ceremony, the VGA’s President, Nguyen Si Thang,stressed that this cooperation not only regulates gas production andtrading but also protects consumer rights and public safety.

According to the association, hundreds of gas businesses operate inVietnam and the country’s annual gas consumption stands at about onemillion tonnes./.

Ministry of Home Affairs to apply KPIs in public employee evaluation

Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.
