Vietnam, Japan reach short-term travel agreement

Hanoi (VNA) - TheForeign Ministry has issued a press communiqué on the agreement on short-termtravel between Vietnam and Japan.

Also known as the prioritytravelling mechanism for Japanese entrants to Vietnam for less than 14 days andfor Vietnamese businesspeople travelling to Japan, the agreement will be applicablefrom November 1.

Priority cases will beexempted from quarantine to make it easier for them to conduct investment,trade, and diplomatic and consular activities.

They will be tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causesCOVID-19, prior to departure and upon arrival, provide their itinerary inadvance, and only travel to work-related locations.

Vietnamese andJapanese authorities will issue specific guidelines on the subjects,conditions, principles, and steps covered by the mechanism./.

An 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format will be released once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect in oder to promptly support the Prime Minister’s direction and administration, support state management by ministries, sectors, and localities; and meet requirements of organisations and individuals.
