New York (VNA) – Vietnam pledges to strengthen coordination with the United Nations (UN) to implement the declaration on the UN global action plan to end human trafficking.
Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Representative of
Vietnam to the UN, made the assertion at a meeting of the UN General Assembly
in New York on September 27-28.

the meeting and called for stronger international cooperation in the field.
Human trafficking is a crime, a violation of
human rights and human dignity, which poses serious threats to peace, security
and development, Nga stressed.

especially of women and children, as well as cross-border crimes via policies
and measures to prevent, prosecute, judge and punish perpetrators and support
victims, she affirmed.-VNA
