The central province of Nghe An had by mid-March completed the planting of 73 out of 115 markers along the Vietnam-Laos border section in the locality.
To implement the program well, Nghe An province has boosted educational campaigns on State and Government policy guidelines on border demarcation and marker placement to local residents.
The provincial border demarcation and marker placement steering board worked closely with its neighbouring Lao provinces in surveying and implementing work relating to the planting and upgrading of border markers.
Nghe An province shares a 419km-long borderline with the three Lao provinces of Bolikhamsay, Xiengkhouang and Houaphan.
