Vietnam, Laos share experience in inspection work

DeputyPM Asang Laoly spoke highly of the Laos visit by the GovernmentInspectorate delegation, saying that it has contributed to furtherbolstering the traditional friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, countries andpeoples.

Deputy Inspector General Hanh informed the hoston the outcomes of his talks with Lao Vice Chairman of State InspectionAuthority Khamsouk Bounyavong.

During the talks, the twosides discussed and shared experience in several issues, including thesupervision and inspection of investment projects, anti-corruption,settlement of complaints and personnel training.-VNA

The officials agreed on the need to effectively implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), remove technical barriers, and open markets to each other’s key export items such as agro-forestry-fishery products, apparel, footwear, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, in order to boost bilateral trade and ensure a more balanced trade structure.

Vietnam, Laos hold 10th political consultation

The two sides noted that cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries has become increasingly close and trustworthy in recent times. Based on their 2021–2025 cooperation agreement, both sides have maintained regular political consultation mechanisms, thereby laying a solid foundation for improving the effectiveness of economic diplomacy in each country.
