The Vietnamese Embassy in Poland has liaised with a Polish University's Social Sciences and Humanities Department to hold a one-month photographic exhibition featuring Vietnam from late October.

The current exhibition, which follows the successful earlier exhibition of photographs and documentary films held in Poland to mark Vietnam’s National Day in September, is described by the Polish Magazine, Ambassador, as one of the country’s most impressive diplomatic events in 2012.

With the theme ‘a Portrait of Vietnam’, all the photos on display at the exhibition were chosen from a collection entitled ‘ Vietnam – Where the World Meets’, highlighted at the previous event.

It is intended to introduce to Polish students and their lecturers Vietnam and its people and has drawn a lot of attention.

The university’s rector said he is impressed by the developments in Vietnam over the past few years and said he hopes that relations between both countries will be furthered, especially in education.

The success of this event, as well as the previous exhibition, ‘ Vietnam – Where the World Meets’, will help shape how Vietnamese people see Poland and strengthen relations between both countries.-VNA
