– The Youth Theatre and the Jigeum drama troupe of the Republic of Korea (RoK) have worked to premiere the play “Ben bo xa lac” (faraway shore) in Vietnamese and Korean.

“Ben bo xa lac” was written by Le Thu Hanh, with its Vietnamese version directed by Xuan Huyen and RoK version by Lee Eun Son.

The drama focuses on marital breakdown and women’s inner desires in marriage. It marked the third time of the two sides’ collaboration to produce a bilingual play.

Both versions were staged in the RoK’s Incheon city, as part of the RoK – Vietnam cultural exchange festival 2017.-VNA
