Vietnam, RoK drama troupes stage bilingual play

The Youth Theatre and the Jigeum drama troupe of the Republic of Korea (RoK) have worked to premiere the play “Ben bo xa lac” (faraway shore) in Vietnamese and Korean.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Youth Theatre and the Jigeum drama troupe of theRepublic of Korea (RoK) have worked to premiere the play “Ben bo xa lac”(faraway shore) in Vietnamese and Korean.

“Benbo xa lac” was written by Le Thu Hanh, with its Vietnamese version directed byXuan Huyen and RoK version by Lee Eun Son.

Thedrama focuses on marital breakdown and women’s inner desires in marriage. Itmarked the third time of the two sides’ collaboration to produce a bilingualplay.

Bothversions were staged in the RoK’s Incheon city, as part of the RoK – Vietnamcultural exchange festival 2017.-VNA
