A Vietnamese delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) attended an international fair of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), held in Hong Kong , China from Dec. 2-4.

The fair themed “Businesses opportunities for newly emerging countries”, held annually by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, drew the participation of more than 680 businesses this year.

At the fair, over 50 Vietnamese enterprises showcased many documents and publications introducing about the country’s socio-economic conditions and investment environment as well as opportunities.

This was the second time Vietnam has taken part in the SME fair, said Deputy Head of the MoIT’s Asia- Pacific Market Department Dao Ngoc Chuong. The fair has helped foreign investors better understand Vietnam ’s market and facilitate investment in the country, he said.

During the fair, the Vietnam delegation also participated in a number of seminars and activities to exchange experiences with foreign businesses on how to deal with current trade challenges./.
