Vietnam, Singapore bolster culture-tourism-sport affiliation

Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh metwith President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong ofSingapore on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of SEA Games on June5.

Apart from attending the opening ceremony, the Vietnamesedelegation successfully organised a tourist promotion programme inSingapore.

PM Lee said Singapore wants to enhance cooperationwith Vietnam in culture, sports and tourism in line with the twocountries’ strategic partnership.

Lee said Vietnam’s tourism isgrowing rapidly with great potential. He said he is impressed byVietnam’s Son Doong cave, the biggest cave in the world, adding that hewants to explore it if he visits Vietnam.
Minister Tuan Anhinvited the Singaporean PM to visit Son Doong Cave and other populardestinations during his next Vietnam visit.

Also on the sidelinesof the SEA Games opening ceremony, the Vietnamese Minister met with LaoMinister of Education and Sports Phankham Viphavanh and SingaporeanMinister of Sports and Youth Lawrence Wong./-VNA

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament
