Within the training plan for strategic officials of Vietnam, trainees will attend an in-depth, scientific training course, and meet with leaders and former leaders of Singapore, especially former Prime Minister and Honorary Emeritus Senior Minister of State of Singapore Goh Chok Tong. They will also take field trips to several agencies, organisations, and businesses in Singapore.

Mon said Singapore's national development experiences and national governance skills and visions will be useful to Vietnam's future senior leaders in the goal of sustainable national development in the coming time.

Associate Prof. Vu Minh Khuong from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy underscored that strengthening cooperation, exchanging experiences and learning from each other between Vietnam and Singapore are the right direction to help both countries create value and vitality and develop together, and enhance their positions in the international arena.

He affirmed that the programme is a chance for potential leaders of Vietnam and Singaporean stakeholders to build trust and define areas of effective cooperation to address development challenges, thus promoting the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership.

The programme, jointly organised by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Temasek Foundation, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Sembcorp, will last until August 30./.
