Hundreds of photos and documents spotlighting Vietnam ’s sovereignty over seas, islands, and borders are being displayed at a museum in the northern province of Bac Ninh.

The exhibits include a collection of royal records under the Nguyen dynasty (1802 – 1945) together with dozens of maps sketched out by Vietnam and foreign countries, ancient bibliographies and photos proving the Vietnam ’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.

The exhibition is spanning from December 22 to January 5 as part of activities to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.

It aims to raise public sense of responsibility for safeguarding the country’s sea and island sovereignty and highlight Vietnam ’s wish for maintaining regional peace and stability.-VNA
