Vietnam, Sri Lanka hold political consultation

Vietnam on May 4 held the second deputy foriegn minister-level political consultation with Sri Lanka.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Phuong Nga on May 4 held thesecond political consultation with Kurunatilaka Amunugama, Secretaryof Sri Lanka’s Ministry of External Affairs.
 
During theevent, the two sides frankly exchanged views on a series ofinternational and regional issues of common concern while discussingmeasures to boost bilateral relations in politics, economics, trade,investment, agriculture, justice, culture and education in the time tocome.

They agreed to together speed up the effectiveimplementation of signed cooperation agreements as well as continuecreating favourable conditions for the two countries’ enterprises topromote trade and investment.

The two sides also agreed tocontinue close cooperation at international and regional forums such asthe United Nations, Colombo Plan and the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum(ACD).-VNA
