Vietnam supports Palestinian people’s struggle
Vice State President
Nguyen Thi Doan has confirmed Vietnam’s
consistent stance of supporting the Palestinian people’s struggle for peace,
stability and development.
She expressed hope
for seeking a peaceful solution for the Middle East based on the UN Charter,
resolutions and agreements reached by concern parties while meeting with Saleh
Rafat, President of the Palestine-Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Association
in Hanoi on
Nov. 10.
Acknowledging fine
development in the solidarity and friendship between the two countries, the
Vice President said that the two sides should continue promoting cooperation in
economics, trade, investment, culture, science-technology.
She asked the two
friendship associations to conduct more diversified activities, contributing to
the common development of the Vietnam-Palestine relations.
Saled Rafat, who is
also a member of the executive board of the Palestinian Liberation
Organisation, briefed Vice State President Doan of his country’s recent
developments, particularly efforts in improving the state apparatus and
promoting the role of women.
He said he wishes Vietnam to
continue supporting the Palestinian people’s struggle for peace, independence.
