Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Minister of National DefencePhan Van Giang received a delegation of the Command of Thai Royal Air force ledby Commander-in-Chief Jolm Rungswang in Hanoi on January 10.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Giang hailed theoutcomes of the working session between the delegation and the Air and AirDefence Force officers.

The visit will help enhance mutual understanding between thetwo nations’ armies, contributing to peace, stability and development in theregion and the world, Giang said.

He suggested the two sides promote delegation exchanges atall levels, particularly among young officers and rescue forces.

Echoing the host’s opinion, General Jolm Rungswang expressedhis hope that the two ministries of national defence will strengthen exchangesand personnel training, contributing to developing the relationship between thetwo nations’ armies and the strategic partnership.-VNA

In 2025, China remained Vietnam’s largest trading partner. Conversely, Vietnam was China’s biggest trading partner in ASEAN and ranked fourth globally, with two-way trade reaching 256.4 billion USD, up 24.8% year-on-year. In the first two months of 2026 alone, trade turnover hit 66.7 billion USD, an increase of 30.2%.
