Vietnam to host 13th ASEAN School Games in August 2023

Vietnam is scheduled to host the 13th ASEAN School Games in August 2023, according to a decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on December 28.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam is scheduled to host the13th ASEAN School Games in August 2023, according to a decisionsigned by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on December 28.

Accordingly, 11 countries in Southeast Asia will participate in theevent, which will take place in the central city of Da Nang and have no morethan six sports.

The Ministry of Education and Training was tasked with makingdecisions on the time of the Games and the sports to be competed.

Thesteering committee for preparing for and organising the Games will includeofficials of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture, Sportsand Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministryof Health, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ho Chi MinhCommunist Youth Union Central Committee, and the Da Nang People’s Committee./.

The relics will be open for public worship and veneration at Hanoi-based Quan Su Pagoda from 6 am to 9 pm from May 14-16. They will then be transferred to Tam Chuc Pagoda in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 17-21, before being returned to India.
