Vietnam will host the eighth Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM-8) andthe third Inter-Ministerial Meeting (IMM-3) on anti-human trafficking ofthe Mekong sub-regional countries.
SOM-8 will be held on Feb. 14-15 while IMM-3 will take place on Feb.16.
At the SOM-8, delegates will review and evaluate the Mekongsub-region’s cooperation on human trafficking prevention in the2008-2010 period and discuss plans for the 2010-2012 term, as well asselect priority activities for 2012.
The meetingwill also discuss issues of strengthening dialogue with other forums andevaluating the results of the Youth Forum of member countries on humantrafficking prevention.
IMM-3 participants will discuss, approve and sign a joint statement on anti-human trafficking./.
