The French visitor, Curvalle Bernard Francois, travelled aboard the MV Super Star Aquarius cruise ship, which departed from Hainan , China , for a journey to Vietnam . The ship docked at Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province.

The lucky man was presented with a ticket for two persons to visit Da Nang city and the ancient town of Hoi An in central Vietnam .

Meanwhile, Zhang DongMei, a Chinese tourist, the 5,999,999 th foreign visitor to Vietnam , was provided with a ticket to tour Ha Long Bay and a dinner voucher at the Press Club in Hanoi for two persons.

The 6,000,001 st visitor, Jonson Tjaij, from Indonesia received a voucher for a three-night stay at a luxury room in Melia Hotel in Hanoi .

In the past 11 months, most foreign tourists to Vietnam came from East Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe and America .

The tourism sector is expected to earn a revenue of 130 trillion VND (6.2 billion USD) this year. The figure was 96 trillion VND (4.6 billion USD) last year.

Vietnam looks to welcome 10 million foreign arrivals by 2020./.
