Vietnam has won two gold medals at the 2013 Asian Physics Olympiad (AphO) in Indonesia, announced the Ministry of Education and Training.
The gold medalists are Bui Quang Tu from the Hanoi Amsterdam Gifted High School and Ngo Phi Long from the Son La Gifted High School, both at the 12th grade.
In 2012, Long bagged home a gold medal at the International Physics Olympiad.
This year, all eight members of the Vietnamese team were awarded, including two golds, two silvers, one bronze and three certificates of merit.
The two silver medals went to Tran Minh Vu from the Hanoi Amsterdam Gifted High School and Vu Tran Dinh Duy from the HCM City-based Le Hong Phong Gifted High School, both at the 12th grade.
The bronze medal was given to My Duy Hoang Long, the 12th grade of the Lam Son Gifted High School in Thanh Hoa province.
At last year’s AphO in India, Vietnam won one medals, five silvers and two bronzes.-VNA
