Illustrative image (Photo: Internet) Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to UkraineNguyen Anh Tuan held a working session with Chairman of the Ukraine - Vietnam FriendshipParliamentarians’ Group Bragar Evgeni Vadimovich in Kiev on January 15.
The eight-member Ukraine - Vietnam FriendshipParliamentarians’ Group, the ninth tenure, was established in early December2019. Six of them were members of the ruling Servant of the People Party.
Ambassador Tuan reviewed highlights in bilateral ties overthe past years, including politics, trade, investment, education-training andsports.
He said the Vietnamese government and people always remembersupport provided by Ukraine and hope to further develop bonds with the countryin various areas.
Tuan hoped that both sides would enhance the exchange ofdelegations, including those from the legislature.
Bragar Evgeni, for his part, affirmed that Southeast Asia,including Vietnam, is one of the priorities in external policy of PresidentVolodimir Zelensky’s administration.
As bilateral coordination remains modest, he said Ukraine isconsidering several measures, initially enhancing investment in tourism,apparel and education.
He hoped that there would be positive adjustments to visaissuance regulations and the opening of a direct flight route between the twonations.
On the occasion, Tuan invited his host to a seminar onPresident Ho Chi Minh scheduled for January 23, 2020 in Kiev./.
