Hanoi (VNA) – The photo of Ha Kieu Loan with her fluttering dress enjoyed a huge number of shares in polls of the Miss Grand International.
Kieu Loan, the first runner-up of the Miss World Vietnam 2019 beauty contest, made it onto the list of 21 contestants who will perform at a show introducing the crown as the organisers revealed the information on the pageant’s fanpage.
Loan and other contestants of the Miss Grand International recently joined a photo shoot for their profiles wearing red ball gowns on their first day arriving in Venezuela.
Representatives of each country will receive votes through her photo and 21 contestants with the highest score of voting will perform in a fashion show honouring the crown of the Miss Grand International.
Loan not only made an impression in the photo shoot, she wore a stunning yellow dress at the press conference of the competition. Being the last contestant to perform after a representative from host Venezuela, she walked elegantly on the catwalk while proudly said her name and title “Ha Kieu Loan – Miss Grand Vietnam”.
The beauty said that she had thoroughly prepared for her introduction at the competition, including pronunciation, pause, and manners and attitude in a bid to impress the audience. Especially, even though she was the last one to appear on the stage, Loan felt excited as if she was a supermodel who will conclude the event.

Just a little more than 24 hours, Kieu Loan’s photo on the contest’s fanpage received a shocking enormous number of engagements, with more than 29,000 reacts and 70,000 shares. Supporters also wrote more than 11,000 comments to send words of encouragement and post the icon of the national flag to the Vietnamese contestant.
Standing out among all contestants of the Miss Grand International, Kieu Loan made an impressive pose with a fiery red gown made of silk fabric.
After a short time of voting, the Vietnamese representative is ranked sixth on the standing while the “likes” and “shares” are still on the rise.
A performance introducing the beauty contest’s 20 crowns is set to take place after the voting closes.
The semi-final of the contest will take place on October 23 while its finale is scheduled two days later.
Last August, Luong Thuy Linh, a 19-year-old student from the northern province of Cao Bang, surpassed 38 other contestants to take the crown in the final round of the Miss World Vietnam 2019 beauty contest in the central city of Da Nang.
Linh received a crown worth 3 billion VND (129,000 USD) and a sceptre, along with a cash award of 300 million VND (12,900 USD).
She will represent Vietnam at the Miss World 2019 that is scheduled to take place in London, the United Kingdom, in early December.
Nguyen Ha Kieu Loan from the central province of Quang Nam was the first runner-up of the event. She got a prize of 150 million VND (6,450 USD) in cash and was assigned to compete at the Miss Grand International contest.
Vietnam was ranked fifth in the list of top 20 Performers of the Year 2018 voted by the beauty pageant website Missosology.org.
The country scored 507 points from the major international beauty contests it joined last year. Most notably, Vietnamese representative Nguyen Phuong Khanh was crowned Miss Earth 2018.
Most recently, Vietnamese beauty queen H’Hen Nie was named Missosology Timeless Beauty 2018.
With a final score of 4.576, the 25-year-old ethnic minority model was the first Vietnamese and third Asian to win the title.
H’Hen Nie was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and finished in the top five of Miss Universe 2018, Vietnam’s best ever performance at the event./.
