Three Vietnamese cartoons have been chosen to participate in the Chuncheon International Cartoons Festival in September in the Republic of Korea (RoK), reported the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper.

The cartoons were selected from a contest organised by the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam, the Cinematography Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Cartoon Company.

They include “Bo cua ga con” (Daddy of the little chick) by Pham Ngoc Tuan, “Lu va Robo” (Lu and Robo) by the Colory company from Ho Chi Minh City and “Chiec banh tinh ban” (The friendship pie) by Phan Ngoc Thuy Duong.

The three cartoons will receive assistance from RoK experts for further development before participating in the Chuncheon festival.

On August 13, the Vietnam-RoK cartoon festival 2015 opened in Hanoi to provide a playground for cartoon lovers and boost exchanges in the field between the two countries.-VNA
