Vietnamese, Cuban parties boost information-education cooperation

Havana (VNA) – A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) CentralCommittee’s Commission for Information and Education, led by its deputy head LeManh Hung, paid a working visit to Cuba from December 3-8.

Thevisit was made as part of the CPV’s agreement on exchange and cooperation withthe Communist Party of Cuba (CPC).

Duringthe trip, the CPV delegation had several meetings with leaders of the CPC CentralCommittee’s departments for external affairs, information and education,economic affairs, and theoretical affairs.

Atthe meetings, the two sides exchanged views on Party-building contents in termsof theory, politics and ideology as well as information on achievementsattained by Vietnam in its three decades of reform and by Cuba since itssocio-economic model update initiated at the CPC’s 6th congress.

Thediscussions focused on experiences in carrying out missions in the fronts ofpolitics, ideology, culture, and education. They stressed progresses they haveachieved and pointed to challenges amid the fast development of informationtechnology, the Internet and social networks.

Thetwo sides expressed their wishes to boost delegation exchanges between the twoparties’ agencies to update information and boost theoretical development.

Aspart of the visit, the CPV delegation paid working visits to University ofHavana, Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP), and Cubanjournalists' association (UPEC).

TheVietnamese delegates also called at Vo Thi Thang primary school in Havana andUniversity of Matanzas "Camilo Cienfuegos and laid flowers in tribute toPresident Ho Chi Minh at his statue and Cuban national hero Jose Marti.-VNA

Deputy Minister of Public Security congratulates Lao officials following succesful 12th National Party Congress

NA Standing Committee's key work agenda for 2026 approved

A major focus will be preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th NA and to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. The NASC will coordinate with the National Election Council, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and relevant agencies and organisations to continue implementing the election plan, organise oversight of the electoral process, and carry out its duties and powers as prescribed.
