Vietnamese embassy launches citizen protection measures

The Vietnamese Embassy in France has sent a working team to Coquelles commune in France’s Pas de Calais region where local authorities are detaining 12 people believed to be Vietnamese to verify the information and conduct necessary citizen protection activities.

Paris (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in France has sent a working team toCoquelles commune in France’s Pasde Calais region where local authorities are detaining 12 people believed to be Vietnamese to verify the information and conduct necessarycitizen protection activities.

On February 7, French authorities raided a campin Angres near the northern city of Lensand and inspected some vans crossing English Channel to the UK, during which they arrested a group of a dozen people.

Local police thought that the group includessome Vietnamese citizens and informed the Vietnamese Embassy of the case.

The embassy has provided some necessities to thedetained people whose mental and physical health is in stable condition.

Onthe occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy representatives worked with authorities ofCalais city, affirming that the process of information verification will beconducted in line with the agreement on receiving Vietnamese citizens signedbetween the two countries.

Theembassy is working closely with the French side on the case, while promptingthe verification of information to launch suitable citizen protectionactivities.-VNA

Vietnam, IAEA comprehensively assess national nuclear power infrastructure
