Vietnam's women's team failed to make it onto the winners' box at the 50m rifle 3x20 final on October 8 at the sixth CISM Military World Games in the Republic of Korea.

They finished 12th out of 19 teams with a score of 1,700.

Mongolia took gold while also breaking the Games' record with 1,761 points. The silver medal went to Germany with 1,745 points, and bronze to China with 1,743 points.

Shooters Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Phuong Thao and Bui Thu Ha will compete in the final of women's individual 50m rifle 3x20 event on October 9.

In taekwondo events on October 8, all four Vietnamese competitors were ousted. Nguyen Thi My Tien was decisively shut out 1-6 by the Republic of Korea's Choi Hee Jeong in the U46kg women's quarter-finals.

On October 10, Cao Thi Kim Chi will also have her chance in a quarterfinal match against Abdelsalam Nour Ahmed Hussein of Greece in the women's 49kg. Nguyen Kim Long will face Khezami Yassine of Tunisia in round 16 of men's U58kg.-VNA
