Vietnamese firm helps build school in Laos

The school is being built at a cost of almost 500,000 USD sourced fromthe 12 million USD fund raised by Vietnamese businesses under aninitiative of labour hero Le Van Kiem, Chairman and General Director ofthe Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business SJC.

Covering an area of 18,000 sq.m, the school will feature a two-storeybuilding with eight classrooms. Once completed, the school is capable ofaccommodating 450 pupils.

In addition, Kiemdecided to donate an additional 170,000 USD to finance the constructionof auxiliary facilities for the school, including dormitories forteachers./.

Vietnamese, Chinese cities to build smart border gate pair

They also consented to promote the development of a cross-border economic cooperation zone through sectoral cooperation at Hai Yen industrial park, Van Ninh international port in Mong Cai; a cross-border e-commerce industrial park; and transport connectivity projects between the two cities including the international railway line from Mong Cai to Dongxing, Bac Luan III bridge, and an auxiliary rough steel bridge.

Fisherman receives emergency care at Song Tu Tay infirmary

A fisherman from central Quang Ngai province was given emergency treatment for severe respiratory distress at the Song Tu Tay island infirmary in the island district of Truong Sa, the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 11, after falling ill while fishing at sea.
