The QNg 2203 boat was hit at 1:30 am (Vietnam time) while fishing at latitude 13 degree 45 minute north and longitude 110 degree 32 minute east, Dinh Van Chac, Head of the Centre’s Search and Rescue Coordination Division, said later July 15.
All nine fishermen on the ill-fated boat were rescued by another Vietnamese fishing boat QNg 2416. All of them were injured, with two in serious conditions.
The QNg 2416 boat with all victims on board is expected to dock the central coast province of Quang Ngai on July 16, according to the QNg 2416 boat’s owner./.
