Vietnamese food and beverages showcased at an ongoing fair in Malaysia’s Penang state has drawn attention of visitors.

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Vietnamese foodand beverages showcased at an ongoing fair in Malaysia’s Penang state has drawnattention of visitors.

The fair, jointly held by the Vietnamese tradeoffice in Malaysia and New Digital Malaysia company from December 14-17, bringstogether leading Vietnamese firms like Vinamilk, TH true Milk, VPMilk andVinamex.

Apart from products on display such as rice, instantnoodles, dried noodles, fresh and dried fruits, milk, and spices, there arealso booths introducing Vietnamese cuisines to Malaysian friends.

Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Malaysia Le Phu Cuongsaid in his opening remarks that agriculture and food processing are of Vietnam’s strengths, adding up to about 3,000 Vietnamese products havereceived Malaysia’s Halal certificates, making them easier to enter Malaysiaand other Muslim countries.      
   
The official expressed his hope that the fair willhelp promote Vietnamese products in the Malaysian market, and boost tradeactivities between businesses of the two countries./.
