Hanoi (VNA) -Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh of Vietnam was knocked out of the women’s singles semi-finalsat the Yuzu Indonesia Masters badminton tournament on October 5 in Malang city.

Linh lost to Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand 21-11, 16-21, 21-14in 54 minutes.

Buranaprasertsuk is thetournament’s No 4 seed and world No 43, while Linh is world No 62 and No 6seed.

In the final on October6, Buranaprasertsuk lost to Wang Zhi Yi of China 22-20, 15-21, 13-21.

The event had atotal prize fund of 75,000 USD./.
