Singapore (VNA) –Customers and visitors have been enthralled by hundreds of Vietnamese handcraft gift products displayed at the Singapore Premium Gift 2016, which is taking place in the city-state from June 29-July 1.

Trade Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore Nguyen Viet Chi said the fair is a good chance for Vietnamese enterprises to promote and introduce their products as well as seek partners to expand export markets for traditional handicraft products.

Through the event, businesses will update the latest trends in the field in order to map out their product development strategies in the future, she added.

Vietnam earned 4 million USD from exporting its traditional handicraft products to Singapore in 2015, accounting for two percent of the total imports of the “lion island” nation.

The 17 th Singapore Premium Gift 2016 has attracted enterprises from over 10 countries and territories worldwide, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong (China), Cambodia and Vietnam.

Five participating Vietnamese enterprises at the event presented their unique gift products made from wool, fabric, paper, rattan, horn and agar.-VNA
