Overseas Vietnamese in Belgium and Belgian friends gathered in Liege city on December 4 to raise funds for flood-hit people in Vietnam ’s central region.
The fund-raiser, hosted by Vietnamese families in Liege collected 1,800 EUR, which will be sent to people in need through the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium .
Huynh Dinh Dau, a member of the organising board, said the first private charitable activity attracted a large number of participants, thus encouraging organisers to establish a fund for disaster-stricken compatriots./.
