Brussels (VNA) – Diners at the "Hanoi Station" restaurant located at the Cameleon shopping mall in Brussels can explore literary works of Vietnam while enjoying its special dishes.

The restaurant also serves up bilingual books in Vietnamese and French/English, as part of a project aiming to set up bookcases in Vietnamese restaurants, jointly launched by Youtube channel Viet Happiness Station and the General Association of Vietnamese in Belgium (GAVB).

More than 300 book titles of different genres there have attracted the attention of Vietnamese of different generations, and made topics for their discussions.

75-year-old Le Van Vong said such books help him and others who have spent dozens of years abroad consolidate their Vietnamese language and improve their knowledge, stressing the project also brings people closer.

Kieu Bich Huong, who initiated the project, said there will be other activities within the project allowing Vietnamese culture lovers to borrow books and engage in exchanges with Vietnamese writers and poets.

The Hanoi Station bookcase is the second under the project, following the first at Pho Sure restaurant in Ostende city, formed with the support from Kim Dong Publishing House, Phu nu (Women) Publishing House, Dong A Books JSC, the GAVB, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium, and other individuals./.
