Vietnamese Party delegation visits China

A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, headed by Chairman Hoang Binh Quan, is on a visit to China from Sept. 28-Oct. 2.

The visit is made at the invitation of the Communist Party of China Central Committee’s International Liaison Department.

While in China , the Vietnamese delegation paid a courtesy visit to Party Secretary General and State President Hu Jintao and met with Vice State President Xi Jinping.

Quan congratulated China on its achievement over 30 years of its reform and expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people would successfully implement the resolutions of the XVII Party Congress to build a socialist society with Chinese characteristics.

He highly valued the development of the Vietnam-China relations in recent time.

The Chinese leaders spoke highly of Vietnam ’s renewal achievements and expressed their belief that Vietnam would overcome the impacts of the global financial crisis and improve its position in the international arena.
They affirmed that China attached importance to developing relations with Vietnam under the framework of “comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership”, embracing the guiding principles mutually agreed upon, of being good neighbours, friends, comrades and partners, engaging in all-around cooperation, in the interests of long-term stability with a view towards the future.

The Vietnamese Party delegation held talks with a delegation of the International Liaison Department, headed by director Wang Jiarui.

The two sides discussed measures to implement high-level agreements between the two Parties and countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

They also passed a cooperation plans between the two sides in the coming time.

During the visit, the Vietnamese guests attended a number of celebrations of the National Day of China and visited places of interests in Beijing./.
