Vietnamese photographers won a number of prestigious prizes at the 5th International Photography Competition in Finland.
The contest was organised by the Association of Finnish Camera Clubs (AFCC) in Finland under the sponsorship of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) .
Hoang Ngoc Thach won the FIAP’s gold medal and a honorary certificate of merit of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) for his black-and-white photo, “Tro ve nha No2” (Come back home No. 2). His two other black-and-white photos – “Nguoi me tre” (Young Mother) and “Bao bien” (Sea Storm) - also received honorary certificates of merit.
Photographer Dao Tien Dat took the FIAP’s gold medal and the PSA’s honorary certificate for the “Lo Lang No2” (Worry No2) in the colour category.
Tran Thi Tuyet Mai was awarded the FIAP’s bronze medal for the “Doi cat” (Sand life), while Nguyen Viet Rung received an honorary certificate of the United Photographers International (UPI) in the black-and-white category.-VNA
