The community of more than 6,000 Vietnamese students in France held a number of activities to celebrate the traditional New Year Festival (Tet).
Chapters of the Union of Vietnamese Students in France (UEVF) in cities and localities are holding the progamme “Spring Greeting” with the focus to take place on Feb. 12 at the Armande Bejart theatre. The programme will include a beauty contest for Vietnamese students in France and an art performance.
According to UEVF President Hang Nang Thang, the programme is aimed at creating opportunities for overseas Vietnamese, especially students to meet each other and promote the image, culture and customs of Vietnam to French friends.
UEVF chapters will coordinate with Overseas Vietnamese Associations at localities in France to hold photo and folk painting exhibitions, film screens and folk games.
UEVF will also raise fund to help disabled people in Vietnam under a programme called “Beautiful Life”./.
