Vietnamese talent shows to kick off

Talented individuals of any age can now register to compete in the TV show Vietnam 's Got Talent.

Locally known as Tim Kiem Tai Nang, the national qualifying round will take place between October 30 and November 26.

The winner of the show, which will be broadcast on VTV3 at 9pm on Sundays, will take home 400 million VND (20,000 USD).

The names of the judges and the show's host have yet to be announced.
The programme is being jointly produced by Vietnam Television and the BHD Company and is based on the British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company, which has spawned spin-offs in 30 countries.

The Got Talent franchise is one of the fastest growing international franchises, along with The Weakest Link, The X Factor, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Dancing with the Stars and Idol, all of which also originated in Britain./.
