Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese teams earned three out of the 11 prizes offered at the recently concluded 2021International Blockchain Olympiad, announced the Ministry of Science andTechnology on October 12.

ViFaChaingroup bagged the Bronze Medal Award for a project to apply blockchain in origin tracing of agricultural supply chain with the third HighestOverall Score, winning 5,000 USD.

KidKat teamwon a 2,500-USD prize in E-governance theme, for its project to build child traffickingprevention system.

For itspart, LifeLink received a prize in HealthTech theme worth 2,500 USD. The team’sproject aims to integrate blockchain with federated learning to supportartificial intelligence technology in medical research.

The competitionthis year was held in virtual form hosted by Bangladesh, drawing 600 teams from59 countries and territories./.

The Government should shift from providing funding to creating enabling conditions by developing infrastructure, platforms, standards and markets, while coordinating the innovation ecosystem.
