Vietnamese water puppet to be performed in Malaysia

Thang Long water puppet theatre will perform at the Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival held in Malaysia from September 17 to 21.

Vietnamese artists led by Chu Luong, Vice Director of Thang Long water puppet theatre will play two shows depicting the daily activities in rural Vietnam as well as important historical events and ancient legends.

The shows will be on September 19 at Kuash Theatre in Kuala Lumpur.

This is an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese water puppetry, a unique art filled with Vietnamese culture characters, to the international art world and the festival also gives Vietnamese artists a chance to learn more about Malaysia.

The Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival is one of the biggest arts and cultures festivals in Southeast Asia and attracts performers from many countries in the region, including dance, music, comedy and traditional arts performances.-VNA

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
