The Vietnamese are joining with over 200 wrestlers from 19 countries in the region to compete nine weight categories in the five-day tournament..
The Vietnamese team hopes to bag home medals from this event, according to Head of Wrestling Division of the Vietnam Administration of Sports and Physical Training.
Earlier this month, the Vietnam national wrestling team took the lead with 16 gold medals in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Freestyle and Classical Wrestling Championships, a pre-SEA Games event, which wrapped up in Myanmar on April 8.-VNA
