Vietnam's coronavirus offensive wins praise from WHO

WHO said that Vietnam ability in dealing with emergency health problems, including outbreaks of new infectious diseases has improved a lot.

Vietnam has responded well to the COVID-19 epidemic, according to The World Health Organization (WHO).

WHO said that Vietnam ability in dealing with emergency health problems, including outbreaks of new infectious diseases has improved a lot.

This was achieved after many years investing on core capabilities, including monitoring and asserting threats, laboratory capability, preventing and controlling infectious disease, clinical management ability, risk communication... according to International Health Regulations (2005).

WHO called this national capability in handling and controlling emergency health problems.

This capability was tested and tried in real events in Vietnam and now is COVID-19.

WHO said that Vietnam has done a good job in handling COVID-19 epidemic./.
