Hanoi (VNA) - Former striker of the national U22 and U23 teams, Nguyen Huu Khoi, signed a one-year contract with the Republic of Korea K3 League team Siheung City FC on January 4.

“I have signed a contract with Siheung City. I will play for one year. If I play well, I will get an extension,” Khoi said.

The K3 League is an amateur football competition in the RoK. Created in 2007, it is considered a fourth-tier competition in the RoK’s football.

Siheung City finished second last season behind Jungnang Chorus Mustang FC.

“This will be a very meaningful and interesting trip. I will learn more and hone my skills before returning home,” Khoi said.

Khoi, a Thai Binh native who played for Dak Lak in the National First Division Football Tournament, will leave for the Rok next month.

Khoi was called to the national U22 and U23 teams under the guidance of coach Hoang Van Phuc and Toshiya Miura. - VNA
