Hanoi (VNA) – The level-2 field hospital of the Military Hospital175 is ready to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping missions inSouth Sudan in the first quarter of this year.

Theinformation was released on January 16 by Director of the Military Hospital 175Maj. Gen. Nguyen Hong Son at his working session with US Ambassador to VietnamDaniel Kritenbrink on the US’s support for the deployment of the fieldhospital.

Son saidthat at present, the level-2 field hospital force finished their training onEnglish language and pre-deployment.

A programmeon level-2 field hospital equipment practical training worth over 2 million USDaided by the US army was also organised last September.

It saw thedirect engagement of 69 officers and soldiers of the field hospital, along witheight British and seven US experts who have a pool of field experience inpeacekeeping operations in South Sudan.-VNA
