Hoe Nhai Pagoda or Hong Phuc Tu is located at No 19, Hang Than Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi.

This is one of the largest pagodas in the ancient Thang Long Citadel, and was built during the Ly Dynasty.

The system of the pagoda’s statues is very diverse. The pagoda has a total of 68 statues made of various materials.

The most noticeable is the Buddha statue sitting on the back of kowtowing king. The statue depicts a king on his knees, his hands extended on the ground, on his back is a Buddha statue sitting on a lotus throne.

The Hoe Nhai Pagoda was classified as a national heritage site in 1989 by the then Ministry of Culture and Information. In 2010, the pagoda was restored to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long–Hanoi./.
