The event, taking on the theme of “Lotus Night”, is a part of activities leading up to the celebration of the 1,000th birthday of Thang Long-Hanoi in 2010, and to welcome the up-coming visit to Vietnam by French Prime Minister Francois Fillon scheduled for November.
The Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France and Vietnam Airlines co-sponsored the gala night on October 25.
Vietnamese Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai, Vietnamese Ambassador to UNESCO Van Nghia Dung and representatives from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture attended the event./.
