Vietnam’s top leader sends message of thanks to Laos over warm welcome

Hanoi,  (VNA) – General Secretary of theCommunist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong senta message of thanks to his Lao counterpart Bounnhang Vorachith at the end ofhis official visit to Laos on February 24-25.

He said the warm and respectful welcomeby the Party, State and people of Laos for the Vietnamese delegation was avivid demonstration of the friendship and special solidarity between the twocountries.

 “We firmly believe that the good outcomes ofthe visit will help drive forward the development of the great friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in anintensive, effective and practical manner across the fields, meeting theinterests of both peoples, and for peace, stability, cooperation anddevelopment in the region and the world,” the Vietnamese leader wrote in themessage.

He wished the Lao people new andeven greater achievements in their reform efforts and in realising targets setby the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Lao People’sRevolutionary Party; and success in building a Lao country of peace,independence, democracy, unity and prosperity towards socialism.

Party General Secretary and PresidentNguyen Phu Trong also wished that the great friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos will last forever.-VNA
